Famous Architect's Building Analysis

>Project Introduction

As a first project, we were tasked with analysing a famous architect's building from a given list, detailing construction and preparation methods for structural and architectural materials of the building in order to apply our knowledge of material function. All information would then be laid out on 2 digitally-made A2-sized boards.

>Boards

Each board includes details on structural and architectural materials used in my chosen building: Daniel Libeskind's Imperial War Museum North. The first board includes a short introductory statement as well as brief background information on the building.

>Reflection

This project while simple on the surface was more challenging than I thought. The level of detail that goes into analysing each material and element is extremely high, as construction is highly specific to each building. This taught me to pay attention to things which I would previously have thought were minor details.
